Overview

Greenway Court Theatre, a professional non-profit theatre located in the heart of Fairfax, Los Angeles,  offers its unique space for rent on Sundays alongside the hours of Melrose Trading Post flea market. This vibrant atmosphere and built-in foot traffic provide an excellent opportunity to engage directly with a diverse community of artists, vendors, patrons, and community members. With a built in audience at your finger tips, this is the perfect opportunity to host an event and connect with the community. 

What We Have to Offer

  • Unique and Historic Venue: GCT provides a charming and intimate setting for a large variety of events. With features such as a Large Covered Porch with additional uncovered space, Spacious and cozy Lobby Area, and 90 Seats (raked). 
  • High Visibility: The Melrose Trading Post attracts a large crowd of thousands of visitors each Sunday. MTP also has over 71k followers on Instagram and 35k Newsletter subscribers that could be utilized to advertise your event at GCT. 
  • Flexible Space: The theatre can be adapted to suit different needs, from performances to workshops to screenings to much more. 

Potential Uses

  • Artistic Performances: Staged Readings, Live Podcast, Live Music, Dance Performances, Poetry Readings, and more.
  • Workshops: Skill-building classes, seminars, and training sessions.
  • Community Gatherings: Such as Sound Baths, Vinyl Listening parties, Group Meditations, etc. 
  • Pop-Up Shops and Markets: Flash tattoo events, Piercing Vendors, Customization Artists, etc. 
  • If you have other ideas we’d love to hear them: We believe a collaborative multipurpose Theatre is the best kind of Theatre!  

Rental Information

  • Availability: Sundays during Melrose Trading Post hours, 10am-5pm. You are welcome to use it beyond those hours, but there will be less foot traffic. 
  • Parking: The free valet parking for the market is available for all usages as well. 
  • Rates: Competitive rental rates based on usage and duration. 
  • Technical Support: Access to Sound, Lighting, and Projection equipment, as well as technical assistance from our Technical Director or TD Assistants. 
  • Additional Amenities: Additional amenities such as use of our Kitchen, Large Dressing Room (space for roughly 10 individual or shared stations), Secure Lockers for personal and prop storage, and Outdoor Green Room also available.
