This four week workshop is a guided step by step to writing poetry. Each session explores a new structure and/or introduces a new poetic device. Therefore, we ask that students sign up to attend all four sessions.
Session one: an exploration of metaphors and imagery as the groundwork to writing
Session two: tenderness as a writing tool
Session three: writing a list poem, finding the hidden poems in our story
Session four: writing a vignette, exploring poetry through the senses.
